Have you ever seen an eye like a vulture or have meet a crazy guy? Then you'll like the story Tell-Tale Heart by Edgar Allan Poe. The story is about a man who has been crazy and is annoyed by . His craziness leads him to take away the life of his friend living with him. The crazy guy ends up confessing in the end. The story Tell-tale Heart displays 3 components: great imagery, good metaphors , and an amazing plot.

First, the imagery in Tell-Tale Heart shows a sense of realism and life- experience. There were some quotes that caught my eye that represented imagery. One was," There was no pulsation. He was stone dead". This quote was on page 629 and thought it described the death of the old man. Second quote i thought was good imagery was," He had the eye of a volture-a pale blue eye, with a film over it," this quote is on page 625 and described the old man's eye condition. The imagery in Tell-Tale Heart is very discriptive.
Second, the mood in Tell-Tale Heart gives the reader a sense of darkness and death. An example quote of mood is," And i knew it was a groan of mortal terror," on page 627. It explained a certain slight graon in the short story. Another example was," Presently I heard a slight graon," can be found on page 627, describes the sounds around him were scary. Mood in Tell-Tale Heart is frightening and scary.
Lastly, the interesting plot Tell-Tale Heart gives the reader a great sense of amazement, curiosity, and a surprising ending. This quote from page 625," Imade up my mind to take the life of the old man, thus rid myself of the forever," made me think that the mad man was willing enough to kill the old man just because iof his volture-looking eye. The second quote came from page 625," He had never given me insult. For his gold i had no desire.I think it was his eye," it explains that the old man never did anything to hurt anyone. As you read the short storty you'll find a plot with amazement, curiosity, and suprise endings.
In conclusion, the short story, Tell-Tale, has some great imagery, frightening mood, and an interesting plot. If you like short frightening stories, you should read Tell-Tale Heart by Edgar Allan Poe. I choose this story because the events that happened seemed really interesting.
