How to Convert Your Records Into Cd’s
Do you have a record that was never made into a cd and you want to listen to on the go. well now you can by using nu-mark recording software. this software allows you to convert your records into cd’s or put your records into your itunes account and then you can put that on your ipod or iphone. this how-to will show you how to do this in 12 easy steps.
Materials: - computer- turn table- record- audio recording software(preferably nu-mark recoding software that’s on a disk)- blank cd- receiver- document for your music- itunes accountInstructions: 1.you need to put your recording software into your computer ,when you get a turn table you will get the software on a disk I’ll be showing you how to use the nu-mark recording program. to star off put your cd into your computer and automatically your software will start downloading.
2.while the software is downloading you should make a document to put your music in. To make make a new document you need to click on a button on the bottom of your normal or main computer screen. depending on your computer it could be anywhere on the screen but it looks like a folder and when your mouse goes over that symbol it should say documents. click on that button and a box will appear then look for a button in the box that will say create new. then you name the document music and click the create button then when your document in the box click and drag it to your normal main computer page and then your done making your music document.
3.When the soft ware is put into the computer it either pop up on the screen or you need to click on the link that would say something like audio software or recording software.
4.once the program is up it will ask you to put connect your turn table to the computer. To do that you take the receiver and plug on end into the turntable and the other end into the computer.
5.Once you do that the program will have a next button, click on that and a new page will pop up that will have a button that says start recording. Before you press that button take out your record and put it on the record player and put the needle at the very edge of the record then turn the player on. then you can press the record button.
6.You will need to then wait until the first side of the record is done playing the music then flip the record over and play that side but DO NOT press the stop recording button. Once the music is over press the stop recording button then proceed to lift the stylus or needle off the record and turn your turn table off.
7.Again a next button should appear on the screen click that and a new screen will show up asking you to name the title of the record and all of the track or song names. proceed to type all of that information in the computer and then that next button will come up again but i advise you to double check to make sure the son names are spelled right or that they are the right song names.
8.once you are sure of your work click the next button an there will a box saying if you want to open or save the music. You need to press save button and another screen will pop up were you will choose the music document that you made before and then click the save button. Your music will then be transferred to your music document.
9.If you would like your music on itunes then click on your music document and highlight your songs then at the top left hand of then page is a button that says play with a arrow on it. click on the arrow and a list of sites will pop up, itunes will be one of them. Click on itunes and then itunes will pop up and will start downloading your music.
10.when the music is done downloading you will need to find it by clicking music on the top left hand of the itunes page and in the top right corner there will be a search box. type in the artist or one of the songs and press enter and then you songs will come up on the screen but now on the bottom of the left hand of itunes there will be a button that says new play list click on that.
11.Then a new play list will appear, you need to name it what ever you want. Then you need to click on your songs on itunes and drag them to your play list. once all of your songs are on your play list take out your recording software disk and insert your blank cd once you do that click on your play list and a box will pop up saying that you inserted a blank disc but just exited out of that box.
12.At the bottom right corner there will be a button that says burn disc click on that button and a box will pop up saying how much time there will be between songs but you don’t really need to mess with that. Just click the okay button on that box and then all your songs will start being put on the disc. This could take a few minutes but when the music is done being put on the disc you can then take the disc out of the computer and you are done.
I tell you how to do this because maybe you have a record that’s not on a cd and you want to listen to your music on the go. well now you can what i basically did is download all your music from your record and then burnt that onto a cd so you can listen to your music on the go and is important because you can preserve rare or old music that never got copied to cd’s so by doing this you are doing a good deed by making new copies of great music.
