Response to Literature

If you like reading about crazy people and death, then this story is for you. The book is Tell-tale Heart by Edgar Allan Poe. The story is about a crazy man and his neighbor. The neighbor was an old guy with an eye that really bugs the crazy man. The crazy man decided to kill the old man so he would never be bugged by his eye again. The police came to his house to ask questions about the death of the neighbor. The crazy man thought he heard the beating heart of the old man and admitted the deed. Tell-tale Heart has great mood, plot, and imagery.

The mood in Tale-tale Heart gives the reader a sense of horror. "I loved the old man."(
pg.625), this is something he says that makes me wonder why he killed him. "Pale blue eye with a film over it."(pg.625), That is what the eye looked like. That's also why it bugged him so much.

The imagery in Tale-tell Heart really puts a picture in the readers head. "He was stone dead."(pg629) This is something he says that makes you think how he killed him to make him that dead. "The disease sharpened my senses."(pg 625) He says this and it makes you think how crazy he is.

The plot in Tell-tale Heart gives the reader a sense of death. "The old mans hour had come"(pg.628) . This is something he said right before he killed the old man. "I admit the deed."(pg.630) He says this to the policemen when he thinks he hears the old mans heart beating.

Like i said Tell-tale Heart has a great mood, imagery, and plot. Tell-tale heart was a very good story and i will definitly be reading it again. The crazy man killed him for a really stupid reason. So if you have a vulture eye and you live next to a crazy guy you better watch out.
