The Legacy of Frank Sinatra

The great legacy of the most inspirational and best American popular Jazz singer of the 20th century, Ol Blue Eyes or well knows as Frank Sinatra. Family and friends say “ his voice would give you goose bumps even when he was just talking to you”. Born as Francis Albert Sinatra on December 12, 1915. He grew up poor in Hoboken, New Jersey.
As a teenager his first jobs was selling newspapers. A couple years later he then quit his job as a newspaper sells man and went on to create a singing group called the Hoboken Four. Sinatra had his first break when he won first prize on radio’s “ Major Bowes Amateur Hour”, and went on to perform in nightclubs and on radio.
His career took a huge turn when he signed with Capitol Records. People first heard his voice when he released his first album, “The voice of Frank Sinatra”. His album was so good that it was number one on the charts for eighteen weeks. After that he was well known as the best Jazz singer of the century. His face was all over magazines such as Billboard and Downbeat magazine. Between 1940 and 1943 he had 23 top ten singles on Billboard. So he will always be known as Frank Sinatra, the man that changed and impacted the world of Jazz.
He changed so many peoples life from back then to now. He is the only one that has been top ten on the charts for 5 decades. Jazz singers from his time and from now all look up to him such as Michael Buble and many other Jazz singers. Michael Buble says before every show he listens to a Frank Sinatra song. He says, “It inspires me to try my best and hopefully one day my dream of becoming just like him will come true”.
His life first started off like a normal kids life in the olden days, poor in a small house. He then made it work by finding a job when he was older as a newspaper sells man. He then quit his job and met up with some friends and made a band and they qualified for a radio competition and they ended up winning and that’s how he got his big break in the Jazz singing Business. People now will always look at him as the best-known Jazz singer known to man. He was the most inspirational Jazz singer and he touched so many people’s hearts. On May 14th, 1998 we lost the greatest and most inspirational Jazz singer known to man and he will never be forgotten.
