Animal Cruelty

Animal Cruelty
Did you know many people around the world could be cruel to animals? Animal cruelty is one of the worst behavior any person can give to an animal and it still happens till this day. “ Animal cruelty simply means cruel unwarranted treatment of animals.” Some cruel types of cruelties are factory farming, animal testing, and hunting. Do these innocent animals deserve these kinds of cruelty.
Firstly, factory farming is just one type of cruelty. For example slaughtering. There is over 10 billion animals being slaughtered each year. This all began soon after the discovery of vitamins A and D in 1920’s. It’s a big Problem because many animals are being kept in small cages. I think factory farming is horrible because there are 1 to 4 animals in each case. Many animals many diseases. Many laying hens are kept in tiny cages with slanted wire floors. Some hens die from diseases or stress. Now let see what another cruelty is.
Secondly, testing is a common cruelty. So many little animals are stuck in laboratories with people shoving chemicals down their throat or injecting them with the chemicals. some examples have to do with make-up, shampoos, hairspray, and medicine. Some people may say they are not for animal testing/cruelty, but it helps in testing for medicines. What is better, the lives of 10 dogs and 5 cats or the lives of 1,000 people. However, I say in that case I would have a different thought, but its still considered animal cruelty, which should be banned. I’m just trying to say that either if your for it or against it, both ways are wrong.
Thirdly, hunting is just one unnecessary method of cruelty. Most exotic animals are hunted and sold on the black market. This still happens in the world. Many animals die slow and painfully to pleasure the hunter. “Hunting is staling and killing animals.” it has been a tradition mostly since the Ice Age. Today, it’s known as a “sport” to many. Millions of animals have been killed, even endangered. All together it’s more than 200 million animals each year. I say it’s one of he worst .
In conclusion, these are only some types of cruelties I know of and some of the worst. Some solutions can be to stop testing on animals, hunting and killing unnecessarily
. I think this can help give them a better life and force us to find other ways to solve our medical needs. In other ways hunting is more a “sport” than a need. I think that the best solution is if the government prohibits this action.   I hope, after reading this essay, that you understand that all animals need to be treated way better than the way they are treated today. If animals could talk, I bet they would be crying for help.
